Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia is a native of Canada and is best known to Canadians for her role as a Canadian actress on the Freeform fantasy television show Shadowhunters. Also, she appeared in Venevision Telenovelas Cosita linda e Voltea and a'que te love. Emeraude is also an accomplished model and dancer. Montreal born, she lived the first few years of her life in Texas. At a very young age she's been trained in a variety of dance styles. When she was 15 she was competing in beauty pageants. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia gained notoriety during 2008, when she was a guest in Nuestra Belza Latina's 2nd season. It was which is a Univision beauty contest show. She was in 2010 as the receptionist in Telemundo television show Aurora. Toubia was in the 2015 action thriller Tattooed Love, her debut film. The performance of Toubia as Shadowhunter earned her recognition at her fellow actors at the Teen Choice Awards in both 2017 and 2018 for the best actress on TV in Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
