Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after her hometown. Michel Horowitz was her father as well as Cynthia Palmer, his mother was both an author as well as editors. Ryder is a Jewish. Ryder believes that her father had a Jewish background. Uria Ryder is her younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are the half siblings of Ryder. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County, California, when she was just 7 years old. The town didn't even have electricity. Ryder who loved reading when she was 12, became a bookworm since Ryder did not have access to television. Ryder was 12 when she took up a place at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. In 1986 she was offered her first big-screen role in the film Lucas when she was just 15 years old. Ryder had to deal with bullying throughout her time in high school. Ryder hoped the acting profession would alter this. But it wasn't to come to be. However, she continued to pursue her goals. In 1988, she received her big break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue her successful characters in numerous films. Two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
