Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothin However A Number debuted in 1994. The album was Gold at the age of 15 years old. R. Kelly heavily influenced the collaboration and brought the artist into the spotlight. She collaborated in 1996 together with Jermaine Dupri and Timbaland to release her second album One In A Million which included the top-rated hit song If Your Girl Only Knew. Following the release of this work Aaliyah gained international attention for her work as an R&B performer. She was a part of martial arts legend Jet Li in the 2000 action-romance film Romeo Must Die. She got this role following an interview with director Joel Silver at an awards event. Queen of the Damned was her first film role in 2002. It's based on an Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels was her first appearance in The Matrix Sequels. She is from Indian origin and was born in Connecticut. The stage name Mann originates from her husband's name Mankad. Aarti uses both Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn for her professional names. While her initial professional career was mostly dominated by small television and film parts, she gained recognition in the latter half of 2000s. Apart from The Big Bang Theory, the other shows she has starred in are Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017.) The commercials she has done have been for big brands, like Volvo. She lives within Los Angeles with her husband and daughter and will continue to pursue an acting career.
